2012 Mercedes Benz C Class engine and electrics cut out intermittently when stationary

bought car 10 days ago and runs beautifully. However, over the last 5 days or so for a total of perhaps 15 times the engine and electrics just stop completely with no warning when I come to a stop at lights or roundabout. I need to turn key off and then restart the car. No issues at all when moving and does not do it all the time. Any ideas?

There are so many possible causes . Do you have service history on vehicle ? If not it would be advisable to get it serviced and then you know where you stand in this regard . Could also get it scanned at same time for any fault codes .
