When driving the vehicle looses power for a few seconds and then picks up again. It is an intermittent problem.

Intermittent faults can be a nightmare to diagnose , best bet would be to scan it for any fault codes .Take it the car has been serviced as per schedule and likes of fuel filter replaced .
