1998 Mercedes Benz C Class boot opening

How do you open the boot when there is no battery connected, battery taken out and the boot shut. Cannot open with key, cannot get any power to disarm automatic locking system etc, HELP ??? Any advice would be welcome.

do the rear seats fold down if so climb in and then pop the boot from the inside. dont know much about mercs

I don't think it's possible on newer cars with the electronic boot release. The self locking has caught me out before, i left the keys on the passenger seat and had to prop the door open and press unlock with a piece of metal to get them back.
