2002 Mercedes Benz C Class indicator lihgts on front only working in emergency mode

replaced both front indicator bulbs but emergency mode does not switch back to normal mode.dash displays indicator fault front left and right lights.emergency mode opperating.any ideas on next step.

Why were the bulbs replaced ?

If corect bulbs fitted ,on some models it can be caused by the S.A.M unit = Signal Aquisition and Activation Module .Best bet would be to get a diagnostic check carried out rather than guess and cause you money on parts maybe not needed .
