Clicking noise

2002 Mercedes Benz C Class c200 Elegance Kompressor
Car: Mercedes Benz C Class
Year: 2002
Variant: c200 Elegance Kompressor
Categories: Engine & Drivetrain
Hi guys,
after a run of about ten miles plus, a clicking noise develops which seems to come from the passenger side...It's road speed dependant not engine speed (sounds like a card in the spokes of a bike wheel)..Clicking disappears on right hand turn, then returns when car straightens up.
Car has been on the ramp in my local garage and they moved the heat shield slightly away from the propshaft...Couldn't find anything else.
I've tried turning everything off, climate control, fans etc. to no avail.
Thanks again.
colin.

Try touching brakes slightly when noise is there and see if it stops , may be a sticking pad .

Sorry for the delay in replying to you Whittinghame, I have tried braking but that doesn't make any difference...

Another annoying noise problem I have is a sort of rumbling/ not quite knocking sound from the rear nearside when travelling over bumpy ground..I've emptied the boot plus spare wheel and can't track down anything loose. Again I've had the car up on the ramp in my local garage and they can't find anything obvious.
Why do I get all these rare faults?
