my battery keeps going flat even cutting out i have bought a replacement battery but its still the same could it be the brushes need replacing in the alternator

could be the alternator as you have said but the best thing for you to do is have the alternator drop tested to see if its charging at the correct out put if not then a replacement will be required it would more than likely cost the same to buy one over the counter of a motor factors as it would cost to have the brushes replaced but which ever is the cheapest
