I only last week downloaded a sat nav update for someone on a Mazda CX-30 and it must have taken at the very least 90 mins to download and install

It is factory installed when new. It has been working perfectly up until yesterday. I have not installed any updates

Misread your post . Sometimes on some cars , removing the fuse ( if it has one ) and refitting can cause rebooting and often cures the fault .
