Rear disc corrosion

2019 Jaguar F-PACE 2.0l D
Car: Jaguar F-PACE
Year: 2019
Variant: 2.0l D
Categories: Steering, Suspension, Brakes, Wheels & Tyres
Corrosion across 30% of the outside face and close on 50% of the inside face, idicating that the pads are not bearing on the face of the disc correctly. The claim for repair under warranty being denied by JLR, with the resolution being to "drive faster and brake harder more often".
My question/s today: Anyone on this forum had any experience / success with Motor Ombudsman, or indeed have pursued JLR through the Small Claims Court for resolution of similar issues?

Seems ridiculous " solution " but this is a very common complaint for quite a while now with many , many customers on Jag forums . I doubt you would get a happy resolution in pursuing them and would just be further out of pocket financially it you went down that road . You may be better getting a good , independent Jag garage to do the work , thereby saving a fair bit of cash . Not an answer to the problem but may be the best alternative .
