2020 Hyundai i10 it does not engage in reverse gear first time and jumps out of gear.

When engaging reverse gear the reversing camera comes on but the car 'jumps' out of gear and has to be re-engaged. I was told by the dealership that this is a 'feature' of an i10! Maybe they should list it along with heated seats and Apple car play!

If it jumps out of gear , it is USUALLY because it was not in right in the first place or wear in linkage / selector mechanism / or gearbox internals . If it never done this when new , you have a fault that needs fixing under warranty
