Have to de-clutch to get into reverse. Is this a common problem with this model?

A common complaint on that car unfortunately . Sometimes going into a forward gear first helps but not a satisfactory solution . No synchro on reverse doesn't help either .

Thanks for that, I was just checking that I wasn't getting bs from the dealer.
