Reversing noise

2012 Hyundai i10 classic
Car: Hyundai i10
Year: 2012

I am hoping someone can help. I have only had my Hyundai i10 classic for 3 months. It has done 8800 miles. It has started to make a noise when I am reversing. Any assistance given would be greatly appreciated.

Best to take it back to dealership under the warranty and get it road tested / diagnosed .

Thanks for your response. This might sound like a silly question but as I purchased the car from a car dealer but not a dealership as such can I take the car to a Hyundai dealership as per the warranty? Please advise and thanks again.

Yes your car will still be covered .You should have service book giving all relevant details i.e date of purchase , supplier etc .though it will be logged in their computer also once they input the data .

Thank you for your assistance, appreciate it. Have noticed today that it only makes the noise when reversing up an incline. I am beginning to think that it could be the rear brakes (perhaps dust or dirt) which is the problem because the clutch is smooth as is the gears. thanks again!

From the further info you supplied , if it's a knock , could be exhaust hitting if mounting faulty/ broke .Dirt in brakes is always a possibility , causing them to stick until cleaned out .
