I recently bought a car, abt a week ago, yesterday i found the ABS sign was on, but today i took the car out the sign was gone, but when i stop for gas i smell smoke, ignored it but when I took it home the minute i stop to park and went out to check my parking i heard a sound like the sound you hear when u dont put a plug on properly, if you get me, the. There was a bang! I'm sure something exploded under the hood, i was so worried so i just left it and took my kids out of the car, i was wondering if its safe to drive my car to the garage tomorrow?! Help pls need some professional advise.

I don't think I could advise you to drive it after what you described.as if the abs has failed and possible fire risk.
I would have to say it must be abs related as it's too much of a coincidence. Have a good look under the bonnet and start the car and have a look. Be ready with an extinguisher and get ready to disconnect the battery, if all looks ok try moving the car a little and check brakes. But its your call on driving it sorry
