2008 Ford S-Max radio won't turn on

My radio is not asking for a security code, it just will not respond and turn on. It has the time on it, I can eject a Cd and reload it but it won't play, it literally has frozen in the off position no matter what I do. If I use the steering wheel to change anything it shows on the screen it has been changed but not on the actual stereo.

I also have a back door that will not open from the outside if the car has been locked. It can be opened from the inside but not from the outside. Once it has been opened from the inside it can then be opened from the outside - any ideas??
