hi, can not loosen the plastic oil filter 27mm nut on casing 
just keeps slipping 
seems to be well tight 
also, when I do release it, will I loose any oil
I don't want drain the oil again

You could try a square socket which might get a better grip . If that doesn't work you might need a oil filter  removal strap . This kind of thing
