2015 Ford Mondeo battery keeps going flat and dealer says i need £1,500 new stereo to fix it.

Something is draining the battery but what? When setting off radio can go into 1 hour mode for several minutes and can turn on by itself when am driving.

If they say it's the radio , pull the fuse and cut the power to verify or not . Could also call into any good car audio centre and get them to check it out and advise . Other alternative is to carry out a parasitic drain test . Assuming your battery has been load tested and not any weak / dud cells as will not hold a charge if so .
