Gearbox completely shot at 55000 miles 2014 Ford Kuga 2.0 TDCi
We were never advised to service the gearbox when we purchased the car from a Ford Dealer. If you don't get the Gearbox serviced it will fail. Ford don't recognise this as a problem yet, but the Gearboxes are on back order and you can find a wealth of information on the internet.
I dont know whether you have a manual or automatic gearbox but with ANY manufacturer normal checking / servicing of gearboxes is usually part of the routine service maintenance schedule . After 8 yrs and 55.000 mls anything could have happened with the transmission especially if not serviced . Ford warranty is at least 3 yrs and 60,000 mils on powertrain , unless it has changed since I last looked
