'Engine Malfunction' on steep hills but not elsewhere.

2010 Ford Kuga 2 litre
Car: Ford Kuga
Year: 2010
Variant: 2 litre
Categories: Electrics, ECU, Warnings & Lights
I overfilled with diesel fuel last week. The fuel is down to half full now and I have just started to get an 'Engine Malfunction' warning, but only on very steep inclines and not elsewhere.
Could the fuel overfill be the reason for this problem?

I would run it for a while if light is only coming on when you describe and see if it clears .If not , needs scanned for fault code
