Purchased 1 month ago 70.000 miles full service history plus 1yr MOT, last week knocking/rumbling appeared from underneath, taken to local garage, on removal of cover plate 2 bolts + bracket from gearbox housing fell to floor extensive damage to gear linkage now sitting in garage awaiting strip down and further inspection to clarify extent of damage

I do know they suffer from engine , transmission mount failures / wear . Possibly this is what has gone .
