2006 Ford KA hot engine

Car: Ford KA
Year: 2006
Variant: sport 1.6
Categories: Leaks & Noises
I have started getting a few problems with my car and Its got so that I am not confident driving it. I have had the temperature sensor changed recently when it was serviced. Like a few other people my car blows out hot air even when indicator is turned to cold air. If I have driven a few miles and then turn off my engine and then restart it, the engine sounds as though it is racing, and is it normal for the bonnet of the car to be very hot to touch when I have only driven about 15 miles around town, no motorway driving?

yes the bonnet vcan get hot that quickly as to internal heat there is a valve electricaly operated under the scuttle panel that controls coolant flow to the heater matrix and is a known problem
