2009 Ford KA intermittent stiff gearbox

Hi! The misses 09 Ford ka has started to have a problem with its gearbox. Now and then it becomes hard to change gear, it doesn't feel like a clutch problem as there is no crunching of gears. It feels like the gearbox oil has been replaced by Treacle and its making it harder to change between the gears. Is anyone heard of this problem and have they any solutions?? Any help is much appreciated.

With that year of car , best idea is to return to dealers for checking under warranty .
