2010 Ford KA steering issue

Car: Ford KA
Year: 2010
Variant: MK2 Zetec
Categories: Steering, Suspension, Brakes, Wheels & Tyres
Hey,

Hope someone can maybe shed some light on a steering issue I have been experiencing.

Whenever I turn left or right, the steering wheel will not centralise itself and will carry on in the direction that I had turned. I have to physically centralise the steering wheel myself and it just doesn't seem right.

There is a definite stiffness in between 10 o'clock and 2 o'clock. The car has been thoroughly checked out by Bristol Street Motors, the cant find anything wrong with my car mechanically but they agree its not right.

Bristol Street have spoken with Ford Technical and say this has been documented before but nothing can be done as its a feature of the car but its only appears after 9 months of owning the car.

Car was purchased brand new in March 2010 and this did not happen when I purchased the car.

Can anyone advise of any similar experiences and what happened in your case?

Many Thanks
Mel

Phone Ford customer services yourself and tell them this was not there when car was new and has developed since .Also that Bristol Street Motors have acknowledged there is a fault in stering that they are unable to rectify , giving you safety concerns with car .
