1998 Ford KA heater only blowing out hot air

Car: Ford KA
Year: 1998
Categories: Leaks & Noises
My daughter's Ka only blows out hot air. She got the car in December and had a full RAC check done on it and this problem wasn't noted but the fact that the fan only worked on 1 and 4 was. The garage where we got the car from fitted something to make the fan work - could this have knocked something off on the heater control? I have read reports on only blowing out cold air and this was a valve problem but I don't think it is that. She could put up with the problem during the winter but now the weather is getting hotter the car is turning into an oven!

This happend to me, i just turn the dial up and then down to cold, put it on full blast then it blows normal eventually (this only happened once)

I took mine to the garage a few weeks ago and mentioned it and they said that underneath the passenger footwell the connector tube from outside had been knocked out (which is sooo easy to do in a ka as its just there hanging). They put it back on for me and its been fine since. Not sure if these are related or not but worth a look.
