2006 Ford KA streching noise fron front wheel

we had a rubbing noise from the front driver side wheel so put car into garage.they said we needed a front top strut bearing replaced - so we had that done.however when we got the car back there was a stretching (plastic or hard rubber)sound coming from the wheel when turning hard.they say they dont know what it is and are starting to fob us off - any ideas.

check that nothing is touching the wheel when it is on full lock

If they are messing you about , get another garage to check for noise .Could be a driveshaft / c.v joint , coil spring etc .
