2005 Ford KA front left main beam not working.

Car: Ford KA
Year: 2005
Variant: 1.3
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
Hi,

So last week I had a clutch replacement but as soon as I switched on the ignition and turned on the lights I noticed the left one was out, so I changed it that evening and it still doesn't work, checked fuses no problems with that so I am struggling to figure out what the problem is, I did take it back to the garage but they wanted to charge me £30 just to have a look.

regards

Also check they haven't damaged / broken any wiring at bulb socket or earth wire when pulling out g/box.

i'm sure it's not related to gearbox/clutch. Garages, as does mine always charge a set figure for initial diagnostics, we charge 27.00 for a plug in to diagnostics and half hour labour, we have to do this to cover overheads. my garage carrys 10 staff, and 7 ramps, my overheads per week are 5400.00, and our diagnostic equipment to date has cost over 30k, HOWEVER , we initally tell customers off this charge, But if we were at fault, we would off done it F.o.c, so really you need to find a garage you can trust... Very hard i know, goodluck.
