2000 Ford KA shudders as you accelerate

Car: Ford KA
Year: 2000
Variant: 1.3
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
Just purchased a 2000 KA. It starts first time everytime and then sits nicely at idle (not even close to a stall). However, when Im ready to drive away it shudders as I accelerate, more so if i accelerate hard (away from lights). Once its picked up speed this clears and it drives as a "normal" car! Therefore its only on accelating and it does do it in every gear.
Any clues?

If it's a misfire from engine causing judder , you will have to check the plugs , leads , coil pack etc . If it's not engine it could be clutch judder or possibly engine mounting .

I have exactly the problem you described to the letter so I paid to have a service done replacing the oil filter and the spark plugs dropped the oil and replaced it with new and I believe the wires were replaced but the problem still remains.
For me it only happens in the morning when I first use the car and then after it has been running for 10 mins its fine for the rest of the day.
The first day after the service the car was fine with one small shudder as I moved off then fine but now I'm back to square one.

So It would appear to me at least that although a service remedies it somewhat at first it is not a fix
