2000 Ford KA will not start

my ford ka wont start all the time,sometimes it starts no problem and others it wont start at all,the engine doesn't even fire. it has just had a new battery fitted at the garage but the mechanics cant work out what the problem is,an auto electrician has also looked at it but says there is nothing wrong with the electrics,please help!!!!

does the car have a factory immobiliser fitted or a coded key because if any of these are faulty hen hat would be the problem but if you have had a auto electrition look over it and he cant find anything wrong then i dont now other than what ive said at the beginning

CHECK THE AIR MASS METRE ALTHOUGH IN MOST CASES WHEN THIS IS AT FAULT IT ONLY CAUSES ROUGH RUNNING BUT IN SOME INSTANCES WHEN ITS GOT REALLY BAD IT CAN CAUSE THE AIR MASS METRE TO BE STUCK OPEN CAUSING TO MUCH AIR AND NO FUEL INTO THE SYSTEM HENCE WHY IT DOENT START!! HOPE THIS HELPS
