2004 Ford KA speedometer flickering when ignition turned on

I have recently had my wiper motor and switch replaced on my car. Now when i turn the engine on after being left over long period of time the speedometer starts to flicker and the mileage switch trips. The car is then fine, but seems like the battery is lagging now.

could just be a loose connection relating to the things you have had done to the car already or could just be a glitch due to the cold weather we are experiencing

I currently have this probblem too on my 54 Ka. any solution found?
