Engine does not start

2012 Ford KA Fiesta Sedan
Car: Ford KA
Year: 2012
Variant: Fiesta Sedan
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
I was driving when the fan belt broke. I was stalled and had the belt replaced. when I tried to start the vehicle the engine was cranking but there was no compression. We then proceeded to check the timing belt and it was intact and saw that when we cranked the engine the belt turned and the whole engine turned but there was still no compression. What should I do?

Check the cam belt timing.

I did. it is also intact.

Not its intact but the timing,
it would be the first cam belt to jump teeth after a belt shreds.
And first symptom of a jumped belt is lack of compression.
But it may have jumped enough to make the pistons hit the vales bending them,
again to compression.
And as you haven't stated engine size/fuel I can't advise on the cam timing procedure.

Understood. It runs on petrol and its engine displacement is 1600. I'll have it checked by a professional. thanks!
