2008 Ford KA will not turnover

Car: Ford KA
Year: 2008
Variant: 1.3 Zetec
Categories: Electrics, ECU, Warnings & Lights
After standing(in the open) for a few days, The starter motor sometimes will not turn over, showing all the symptoms of no power. Connecting charger shows it charging. After 5 mins or less the fully charged light is on and the car starts (after disconnecting charger). I believe that the charging time cannot materially affect the battery state. I have cleaned and greased the terminals and cable connectors, to no avail. Any suggestions gratefully received!

Sure it can,
there's even mini jump starter you connect via the accessories plug and wait 5 min's.
and it will start.
And I think your Ford is one of the ones fitted with a smart charging system so alternator charge is determined by the engine ECU,
IT decides if and when the alternator charges the battery.
So you 5 min' charge might be enough to "trick/fool" the smart charge system.
Only way to be sure is get the battery load tested,
And by that I don't mean putting a voltmeter on it.
I mean a dedicated battery load tester.

Probably a weak / bad battery . Agree with 1/4 drive ,
" Only way to be sure is get the battery load tested,
And by that I don't mean putting a voltmeter on it.
