t reg ford ka tickover go up and down on own then revs increase on own up to 5000rpm

have you filled the windscreen washer bottle lately as underneath ther is a multiplug with a lot of black coloured wires try drying out this plug and maybe spraying terminals with a bit of wd40 you may have got water into it

idle speed controll valve , throtttle sensor , m.a.f sensor . id try idle valve first!
