1999 Ford KA having trouble starting in the morning

Car: Ford KA
Year: 1999
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
My KA is getting harder to get running after its been left idle for a few hours. I have always managed to get it started after 2 or 3 attempts by jabbing the throttle after turning the key but I'm now having to do this almost every morning. However once the car is warmed up (say driven for a couple of miles or more) you can stop and then usually it will start without a problem.

nothing to drastic just sounds like it needs a full service and them you should be ok service consists of oil filter air filter fuel filter engine oil spark plugs and also if you can add some fuel treatment aswell as this will help clean the fuel system as you drive the car and remove any carbon deposits in the engine

hi im a ford master tech i would advise some ngk copper core spark plugs which cure this fault on an easy try now thing. but on the worse side check if the engine coolant is low,if so would suspect head gasket fault quite common if poorly maintained, sometimes its the throttle position sensor they were recalled some time ago. basically check basics battery condition , levels eg oil and water , service history . any further help 07902004967
