2004 Ford KA engine light flashing loss of power

Engine light has come on (flashing) and car feels it has loss of power didn't give up but power reduced in all gears and vehicle a bit juddery

First thing I would check , plugs and leads .If still not right , need to get it scanned and see what has triggered the light .

May be fuel issue when did it last get a filter,just my daughters did the same thing and the light flashed on but did not register a code,filter fixed it.

Cheers guys both of these answers sound likely (due for a service) due to the weather i'm taking it in this morning (to the garage) so i'll post again tonight with the result ! thanks again

Well ...... Garage were a bit stumped ! I took it away and it was fine for 35 miles, the wife used it today (no comment please) and it came on almost immediately ! on further investigation it turns out to be ........... No 2 cylinder giving a miss fire ! so there we go . Cheers again fellas
