Engine over revving when hot

when hot the engine will over rev when sat idle on driveway, when cooled down the car will run fine until it gets warm, after turning off when warm it sounds and smells like its flooded and will not start unless the pedal is flat to the floor.

could be coolant temp sensor /dirty throttle body/fault with throttle position switch /suggest you have it tested for diagnostic trouble codes another thing you could try leaving battery disconnected for an hour or so to shut down ecu then try again might cure it worth a try

check MAF valve if fitted clean with contact cleaner (best to replace)
