2000 Ford KA car wont start

My KA has been running very reliably until the other day. Stopped the car at home returned about an hour later to find it wont start, have tried many times since and it seems to fire at first then nothing, turns over as normal which would make me think the battery is fine,the car is only used on short trips and has very low mileage.
Any ideas?

Hi Phil, try taking the spark plugs out and check the color/condition. Give them a clean and dry them off if they are wet and see if it starts.

Have taken all the sparkplugs out, cleaned and re-instated, no change, kept turning the engine then looked at the plugs again, still dry?

If the plugs are still dry after cranking the engine, then it seems no fuel is getting thru.
Not sure if its a mechanical or electrical pump. Try disconnecting the fuel line at the engine end and get someone to crank the engine. You should have fuel comming out.
If not then the problem is between the tank and the line you are holding. If you do have fuel, then the problem is from there on.

Thankyou for your replys, it has turned out to be the fuel pump fuse which had blown, replaced all is well.
