2001 Ford KA car wont start

my husband drove the car to work this morning, he was sat in the car for 10 mins with the engine on and then he turned it off 2 mins later the car wont start, the engine is ticking over but just wont start.
it has been taking longer and longer to start this winter any solutions would be helpful

Could be battery or starter motor, or a number of things really, pop down to you local garage and ask them for a diagnosis

there is a fuel pump safety cut-out button, front rhs , see manual. under carpet about 12" up near door pannel. drivers side, above fuel pump position plastic thingy. press button down and try to restart.
