2000 Ford KA driver door not locking

Car: Ford KA
Year: 2000
Variant: ka 3
Categories: Leaks & Noises
I have auto locking but when I bought the car (last week) the passenger door didnt work with the auto locking or the electic window but the driver side was fine but today I tried to lock the drivers side and it wouldnt do anything. I managed to lock it from the inside but and worried this is a big problem. Is it an electric fault? if so is this costly to re-pair?

Could be broken wiring where it passes through frame into door . You may have to strip down door trim to check and see if there is power getting to lock / window .

This recently happened to my Ford Ka, the lock on the driver-side door started playing up then stopped working after a couple of weeks. I sprayed the key hole with WD-40 and it now working again!
