Brake lights not working properly

No problem , usually underneath at top of brake pedal ,you will have to lower dash cover /trim by steering column and then you will see it .Hope this helps you .

If you have cruise control there are two switches on the brake pedal,the stop light switch is the lower one of the two.Remove the driver`s side lower facia panel,twist the switch clockwise to release it from the mounting bracket,then you can disconnect the wiring plug.Before refitting the switch pull the switch plunger out to its full extent,depress the brake pedal,put switch in mounting bracket and turn it anti-clockwise to lock in place.slowly release the brake pedal.Replace the wiring plug,then the facia panel.Good luck.
