1999 Ford Galaxy car sometimes wont start

Hi to all . need help . I have this galaxy 2.3 auto since january and it has 107 k but all was ok . since jan i did 4k . now i have a problem that some times car will not start even if engine turns and when it does not start a chime note is made. last week it did not start at all and had it towed to a garage .the guy charged battery ( due to lots of start trials by towing people)and car started ok he diagnosed car but no faults were present.now the problem is on again.any suggestions please??

Hi yosef i had the same problem it wasnt the batt someone had bodged in a wire the mechanic took it out and joined the original wires (HANGING DOWN IN THE STEERING COLUMN). Done the trick
