hi i lost drive in my ford galaxy 2.3 auto so i changed the gearbox now i have only limp mode gears put in another gearbox and its still the same drives the same even with the gearbox ecu unplugged can it be anything else but the loom dont want to waste any more money on it

if its the same after 2 gearboxes it kinda points to the gearbox ECU itself or the engine ECU not recieving the info. have the brains checked by a specialist and have the loom looked at. probably be a chaffed wire somewhere or a bad earth...
