1998 Ford Galaxy fan belt needs replacing

Car: Ford Galaxy
Year: 1998
Variant: 2.3 petrol manual
Categories: Gearbox & Clutch
the fan belt has started to strip away leaving only a 1/4 inch of belt on the pulleys. i wodered if anyone could explain in simple terms how to take off the old one and fit a new one. I have drawn a diagram of the route the belt takes round the pulleys, but i don't know what the tensioner looks like or where to find it. I hope that somebody will be able to help. Many thanks in anticipation.

BEST DONE INSIDE THE WHEEL ARCH. the tensioner is between the crankshaft and the water pump.
should be a 13mm or 15mm bolt move it clockwise and the tension will go. note you have to hold the tension off there is no lock nut.fit new belt put on tensioner last.good luck its tight in there.also its known for the aux belt to brake up and can damage the crank seal if it gets behind so check theres no bits of belt jamed behind pully
