Take car back to garage and get them to check why it is still overheating after work they done .Get a pressure test on cooling system which will show any external leaks and if still having probslems a sniff test ( block test ) which will test cyl. head gasket .

THANKS for your answer

today went back to the garage they opened everything checked water pump which they repalced is working

today they changed a new thermostat which they told seems not working , they said maybe the gasket broken or have air in the system ???
they don't know , they told me to drive two days see how it's going
today i drived 80miles seems ok no overheating

but i think the problem still there

i check the internet found some products like
K-Seal Permanent Coolant Leak Repair
Steel Seal
ect

is any one use this kind of products before

is it works ??

any one give me some ideas ?

spend a lot of money on this car already

thanks

If thermostat was faulty /sticking or there was an airlock in cooling system , this would cause the high temp. If you have done 80mls with no overheating , why do you think it is not fixed ?With regard to the Steel Seal etc ,opinion divided , lots of people say it works and others wouldn't put it into their cars .

I have a 54 galaxy tdi with the same problem.
Every 50-100 miles I put in water. Taken it to get checked with diagnostics nothing found. Then manually checked via mechanic and no leak no mix no smell no sign. Heating works as it should. Yet I drive and 100 plus miles I have to check the water level afterwards about 2 litres a week I put in. Air con off, no overheating signs. Don't understand where the water goes. Oil is spot on and clean.

If thermostat there would be so hot hair inside.
If waterpump it would overheat yet done 4000 +
if leak there would be smell or White dry signs

One thing I have realised is after the car has done say 50 to 100 miles and I check the tank it indicates well below minimum level but as soon as I open it enough for it to release pressure the water comes back to maximum level or slightly lower.

But if I drive over 150 /200 + miles and do this the water doesn't come back to even minimum.

Can anyone help me understand why

Maybe you should consider doing what a collegue of mine did. He patched it up with anti leak stuff and sold it on to a guy in the North West. That guy then sold it on (when he found the problem) (and he also went of a forum to discuss - see http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20101219110631AACnvr3) to a young lady who was 5 months pregnant. That yound lady had good advice and had the cylinder head gasket replaced (not expensive) and the car now has no problems.
