2001 Ford Galaxy accelrator keeps going flat

accelerator intermitently goes flat,no power,however the car still drives,if whilst driving when this happens i turn the key in ignition,then acceleration is back.... had car in ford garage for almost a week,they seem to think its the accelerator peddle...any views on this? i was thinking more of the accelerator module...but whim knows im no mechanic...any advances on this would be helpful...

car been in ford galaxy,all ok...and the problem turned out to be the accelerator peddal...all is fixed now.
