2001 Ford Galaxy indicators and hazards not working

My Hazard lights packed up, and about a week later the indicators became intermittent and have now stopped altogether, prior to that the rear tailgate lock stopped, but again all the locks were opening and closing as you were driving along which I think points to a bad connection, I have checked all the fuses and they are OK I have had this car for 5 years and this is my first problem Help.
