2000 Ford Galaxy loss of power

This problem is the same as already posted on this site, the reduced power does re-set most of the time when the engine is switched off. Had a diagnostic test, fault with the boost pressure centre, part of the electronic control unit. The garage still not positive that if a new one is fitted that the problem would be resolved.As this is only registering the problem. Plus the unit is buried behind the dashboard. Any suggestions.
