2004 Ford Galaxy when i turn the headlights on, it turns the radio off

If I turn the headlights on then the radio switches off and cannot be turned on again. Sometimes it may come back on for a short period of time then go off again. If I drive with no lights on then radio works fine

Get your battery LOAD tested to check condition and also check alternator charging rate , simple 5 min test for both . Using headlights may be using power that a low battery cant cope with and radio is switched of to allow more important headlights stay on
