2004 Ford Galaxy hazard lights + drvers window & now central locking not operating properly

Car: Ford Galaxy
Year: 2004
Variant: 1.9 tdi
Categories: Leaks & Noises
Shortly after operating both, driver and passenger elect.windows, noticed hazard warning lights coming on randomly for 3 flashes every couple of minutes. When i got to my destination (about 15 minutes later), tried to open window but it didn't respond. Passenger side still works but only by using the passenger side control.
A couple of days later noticed that central locking not working, makes lots of noise as if it is trying but doesn't actually lock.
Any one come across this problem? And got any idea where I should start looking?

Could strip down door and check lock linkage which may be sticking .If you spray linkage and actuator with WD40 may cure fault , also check for broken wiring where it passes through into door from front pillar .

Many thanks to wittingehame. I checked the wiring as suggested and found a cable that had broken. I bought a pack of wire connectors for about £1, made the connection (fiddley though it was), and the hazards are now only coming on when I switch them on. Thanks again

Hi, I’ve got pretty much the exact problem. Could you please let me know in a bit more detail what you did to fix this? We’re the broken wires actually inside the door? So I need to take the door panel off and look for some broken wires? Also, did you change any fuses? For me, the horn stopped working, and then the window (driver side) and when I click the button for the window to go down it sets the hazard lights on for a few flashes, and the central locking doesn’t work...makes lots of noise as to indicate it’s licking, locks the drivers door, but all other doors are open!

Thanks.
