Dashboard LCD display stays on and drains battery

Battery drains over a couple of days, message says child lock failure, once jump started.

Checked battery and it's got a 2 amp load with the car shut down and locked

Noticed that the dash LCD. Display does not shut down and remains powered up, since 60 minute run to charge the battery

Any ideas what the cause is and how to fix it.

If it's a 2012 , should still be covered under warranty ?
