ive lost the keys to my galaxy but with them having a vw engine ive heard its not a simple problem to fix. can i just take door lock off and get code from it to get a new key cut or can i just replace ignition barrel with one from a galaxy from a scrapyard. my keys were not remote locking ones, thanks

no they have transponder keys which means they have an immobilser chip built in the key that is recognised by a pick up around the steering lock ,so any new keys will have to be coded to the vehicle
