hi i have 2.3 auto galaxy will not go in to 4 gear 1 to 3 great no prob , i have change the auto oil in the box and the fitters still the same but now some one as said it can be the ribbon that is worn and earthing out or it could be a solenoid,stuck now is the some think i can try before the rest of my hair i will pull out thank you

yes it sounds like a box fault, you may be able to gather some more info from a code read
