Acceleration problem

2000 Ford Galaxy 1.9 turbo diesel
Car: Ford Galaxy
Year: 2000
Variant: 1.9 turbo diesel
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
Hello

this happened slowly but now has got really bad. When I change gears and accelerate my car does not pick up speed, it over revs and picks up speed gradually.

In 2nd gear I have to rev at least over 25 mph to pick up a little speed.

Up hill it gets really bad. I can't even go on the motorway because it is not acellerating fast enough. A bus is able to travel faster from start.

Please help.

I put in about 2 litres of unleaded by mistake about 2 months before, but topped the tank with diesel.

Also ford reported that my car was leaking oil from the engine but they weren't sure where.

please help
